Dr. Fred Baff opened Plumtrees Animal Hospital in 1981. Prior to that he practiced in Newtown, Darien, and Monroe. He attended NYU, Rutgers and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and the FCVMA and is licensed to practice in CT., NY., PA., and FL.


Dr. Wesley Baff, a 2006 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, joined Plumtrees Animal Hospital as a full-time veterinarian in 2007. Born and raised in the Greater Danbury area, he is a graduate of Newtown High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Dr. Wesley Baff completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2007. He is a member of the CVMA and the AVMA. His professional interests include small animal internal medicine and oncology, as well as general wellness and preventative medicine.

Erica Arborn is a Veterinary technician. Erica grew up in Warwick, NY. She graduated from John S. Burke Catholic High School and is currently attending Mercy College in the pre-veterinary medicine program with a view to becoming a veterinarian.


Cara DelVecchio is a Veterinary technician. Cara joined the Plumtrees team in the fall of 2010 after moving back to the area from Seattle, WA, where she worked as a veterinary assistant at the Seattle Humane Society. She is particularly interested in wildlife rehabilitation and enjoys spending time with her dog, Diego.


Carol Gelish is our Hospital Manager. Carol joined Plumtrees in January 2008 and lives on Candlewood Lake with her husband, Greg, and two cats, Casey & Sydney.


Chelsea Massimin is a Veterinary technician. Chelsea recently joined our staff in 2010. She is also a full-time student working towards her veterinary technician degree. Animals have always been the main focus of her life. She enjoys spending time with her horses and dogs.


Anissa Mazouzi is a Veterinary technician. Anissa joined the staff in 2007. She is an experienced animal handler and has previously worked at a small animal practice in New York State. Anissa has two cats named Juliet and Micha, and a dog named Mia.


Liz Rywolt is a Veterinary technician. Liz grew up on a farm in New Fairfield where she developed a fondness for animals. She lives with her two cats Cricket and Swagger along with her boxer, Nova. She has been with the Plumtrees team since 2008.


 
Hospital Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm • Saturday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
